The Loft Links

Floord hails from Bowling Green, Kentucky and has a captivating live show. These guys have been undergoing a much - deserved growth spurt of late, and we couldn't be happier for them. They just came out with a new CD after a year long hiatus, and it really rocks!! We go way back with these guys, and we're glad that they decided not to call it quits after all! http://www.floord.org/
H-Beam is a genre defying juggernaut of a band. Extremely creative live shows, solid musicianship and a set list that will always keep you guessing. Follow the directions on their kickass posters and make it out to see them sometime. Check them out at h-beamlive.com.
Mellow Down Easy is the coolest 3 piece blues rock outfit in the area in our opinion. Andrew on lead guitar friggin smokes, and Daryl is a bass player that reminds you of the likes of Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The two of them trade off on vocals while Rodney keeps things rockin on the drums. When you see them live, you keep wondering if they have other musicians hidden backstage somewhere, the sound is that full. We play a fair number of shows with these guys, and not only have they earned our respect as musicians they've also become our friends. Okay, man that sounds cheesy, but it's true! Check out their site at http://mellowdowneasy.com/.
Mile 8 kicks ass. They're one of the few local bands that were around when we were just getting our start that are still going, and that in and of itsself says a lot for the band. But besides that, they're also one of the best bands in Tennessee right now, let alone Nashville. Hell, probably the southeast. If you haven't seen Mile 8 you need to. Now.
Hailing from Missouri and touring constantly, Speakeasy offers something for everyone. Soulful originals balanced with a constantly evolving repertoire of covers, make every Speakeasy show different.
Starroy is a cool jam band out of Arkansas. We love playing shows with these guys, and they are a force to be recognized with in their home environs! Starroy has a sound that blends Panic with DMB and even a touch of Allman Brothers Band at times. Check them out at http://www.starroy.com/.
Dropping the typical lineup of lead guitar and bass guitar, Stephanie's Id adds xylophone and keys to round out the lineup. Hailing from North Carolina, Stephanie's Id has one of kind vocal stylings and overall band sound, though at times you can hear hints of Portisehead. Perhaps Bjork, Massive Attack as well.
Undershade is a kickass acoustic groove band from right here in good ol' Nashville. Tight as hell. Great musicians. Great guys. Good times. Check them out at undershade.com.
Omnisound Studios is a killer studio just off music row. We have been recording there recently and the vibe is unbeatable. Of course, it doesn't hurt that they have two of the coolest engineers on the planet, Eric and Zach. For any local bands looking to make a demo, Omnisound is where it's at. www.omnisoundstudios.com.
Moses.com is the cool company that gives us a place to put our web site. If you need some hosting, look no further. Also be sure to check out their sister company, sitemason.com/ for cool web applications.
Nick Graham has uploaded many live recordings of Loft shows in shorten format (shn) and Flac. Shorten and Flac are lossless audio compression formats with quality identical to CD.
